Synopsis for Green Lantern: "Zero Hour in the Silent City!"

This story is reprinted from Green Lantern (Volume 2) #12.

Our story begins with Pieface transcribing another tale of Green Lantern's adventure in his private casebook. He recounts a tale in which Hal was out on a date with Carol. Hal is contemplating an aerodynamic issue he is dealing with at work and he is having difficulty focusing on his date. He cuts the date short and heads towards his office. He suddenly realizes that his ring has not been charged in a while and it only has a few minutes of power left. The next moment, Hal realizes that everything around him goes completely silent. Hal quickly changes into his Green Lantern costume to investigate and uses his ring to locate high frequency vibrations originating from the third floor of a building. With 20 seconds of power, Lantern breaks in on 3 men who are using a super sonic drill to break into a safe. He tussles with the trio and uses his remaining power to disarms the three crooks. It turns out that their high power drill cancelled out ordinary sound vibrations and was easily traceable with Lanterns ring. Green Lantern recharges his ring once more at the end of the story.
