Synopsis for "The Galactic Gamblers - Combat of the Crime-Busters!"
Superman and Batman go out on their daily patrol at night and the work together to capture a gang of costumed criminals in Metropolis. Right after this, they are both transported across the universe to the planet Garenvol, which is filled with gamblers. The people of Garenvol are certain that their red sun would render Superman powerless and thus, they start a giant gambling game using Batman and Superman as their tokens and risking their lives. Batman and Superman are forced to play along when they realize that the gamblers have kidnapped their friends Jimmy Olsen and Robin. On every occasion, the caped heroes manage to trick the outcome of the games to a draw, but the gamblers from Garenvol are determined to create a big dispute between the heroes. For this purpose, they pit the heroes against each other in a giant maze, where they would find all sort of weapons to attack each other. The heroes start looking for he weapons in the maze and after a few moments they find a couple of shotguns with one bullet for each weapon. Batman and Superman are quick to arm themselves and they shoot each other. Fortunately, the bullets collide in the middle and none of them is harmed. Superman then finds a couple of grenades and he tries to use them against Batman, who counters this attack using his Batarangs. Finally, the two heroes are forced to fight on a gladiator style combat to death, using shields and axes. The fight is pretty even and both heroes have their own supporters. However, during the fight, Batman and Superman stop the battle and start working together against the gamblers. It is then revealed that Superman never lost his powers because the sun in Garenvol is not red. Superman uses his x-ray vision to locate the place where Jimmy and Robin are locked up and they rescue their junior partners.
Finally, Superman reveals that all the "draws" and "coincidences" while fighting Batman were staged by both heroes, who just played along with the gamblers in order to rescue their partners. Superman creates a sphere in which Batman, Jimmy and Robin are placed inside as Superman carries them towards Earth, leaving Garenvol behind. During the trip however, they realize that Jimmy and Robin have been "infected" by the gambling spirit.
