Synopsis for "Friends"
After a regular day in the lives of Superman and Batman, the heroes gather to talk about the upcoming mother's day and they decide to put on an exhibit for some orphans in the city. Using items from the Fortress of Solitude, the heroes arrange a large display that is noticed by the entire city.
Meanwhile, Solomon Baxter is having financial troubles and he contacts his old friend Peter McDonald and they arrange a meeting to transform into their super-powered alter-egos. With a hand-shake, Baxter and McDonald join the respective tattoos on their hands and they are transformed into Null and Void. Null is capable of controlling light and sound, while Void can teleport himself and other items using his hands.
It is like this, that Null and Void attempt to steal from Superman and Batman's exhibition. When the heroes realize that one of Superman's most valuable item is missing, they start searching for the criminals and they confront Null and Void, who can overcome the heroes using their powers. However, their transformation is limited for a short period of time and after a while, Null and Void return to their human forms. Void transforms back into Peter McDonald and he is captured by the heroes, but he refuses to give away his friend, Null's identity, choosing to to go prison. Finally, when McDonald asks Superman what is the valuable item he stole, the Man of Steel opens the golden locket and reveals a picture of his biological mother, Lara.
