Synopsis for "Night of the Midnight Sun!"

Tonatiuh, an alien stranded on Earth since ancient times, attempts to steal a source of energy from S.T.A.R. Labs, but his attempt is stopped by Batman and Superman, who are still at odds after Batman's separation from the Justice League.

However, Tonatiuh has now learned of the existence of Superman and he kidnaps the Man of Steel, with the purpose of taking his life-energy for the unlimited power source. Jimmy Olsen contacts Batman and informs him about Superman's current situation and the Dark Knight goes to the rescue without hesitation.

When Batman arrives at Mexico, he confronts the alien and frees Superman from the deadly trap. Seeing how his whole plan is bound to collapse, the alien chooses to sacrifice himself and destroys his base of operations with him inside. Superman is grateful for Batman's assistance, but the Dark Knight has not come to terms with Superman's self-righteous attitude.
