Synopsis for Batman: "Bruce Wayne... Amateur Detective!"

A retired detective makes a bet with an apparently reformed criminal on whether or not the old detective can train any man to become as great detective as he once was. The criminal accepts the bet and they choose Bruce Wayne as the candidate to become a detective. Bruce has to pretend that he doesn't know anything about detective work, which complicates things with his crime fighting activities.

After a month of "training", Bruce is tasked to capture a notorious criminal called "The Shark", but while working as Batman, he is informed by Commissioner Gordon that they need the Shark free at least for one more week, so that he can be captured with six of his allies in crime. Bruce returns to the detective and the reformed criminal, empty handed, allowing the criminal to win the bet. However, before the time is over, Bruce tells them that he can still prove his worth by discovering Batman's real identity. Bruce takes them to the GCPD Headquarters, where Batman and Robin are waiting and Bruce shows them some fingerprints on a paper, which match with Batman's own fingerprints. The criminal tries to elude the payment of the bet, but he is captured by Batman.

It is later revealed that the man posing as Bruce Wayne at the GCPD Headquarters was in fact Alfred, Bruce's trusted butler.
