Synopsis for Batman: "The Five Different Batmen!"
When Batman apparently dies while chasing some crooks, people mourn his death and Vicki Vale organizes a requiem for the fallen hero, which requires five different people telling a notable moment of Batman. Robin, Commissioner Gordon, Vicki and two other men share their experiences with Batman. Vicki and Gordon include the moment in which Batman lost his life and when the requiem is done, Gordon decides to capture the criminal that Batman failed to take into police custody. However, as the police locate the remaining members of the gang, they learn that Batman is alive and posing as the criminal he apparently didn't capture. Batman then explains that the man who died in an explosion was the thug disguised as Batman. Finally, the police are able to capture all the criminals and Batman learns of all the love and respect that the people have for him.

Trivia
- In the Green Arrow story, it is stated that Green Arrow and Speedy fought the Larrimore gang in Arrowville five years ago. There are two noticeable elements with that statement. First, if Arrowville matter of factly already appeared in a Green Arrow story back in World's Finest #38, it didn't involve the Larrimore gang. Secondly, the Speedy represented in commemoration and the Speedy in the present timeline are identical, as though he didn't age.
