Synopsis for "Drop Zone"

The group is assigned its first mission by Batman. They later get caught in the middle of a war between Bane and the Cult of the Kobra as well as Sportsmaster over the production of the drug Venom. Aqualad agrees to be the leader until Robin is ready to take over.

  • Kid Flash calls Bane "El Luchador", a reference to his Lucha libra mask.
  • When The Team are discussing the new stealth-tech being worn by Kid Flash, Miss Martian, and Aqualad, Superboy explains his refusal to wear a costume by saying No capes, no tights. This is a reference to Smallville, which originally operated under a no capes, no tights rule imposed by the producers.
  • L-1's line, Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, but three times is enemy action is a paraphrase of one of Auric Goldfinger's lines in the novel, Goldfinger, Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence. the third time it's enemy action.
