Synopsis for "The Sorceress' Apprentice"

Zatanna is trying to get some sleep while traveling on a plane. Suddenly, a flock of geese fly near the plane. Some geese fall in one of the plane's engine, causing the plane to fall down. Awakened by the turmoil, Zatanna calmly casts a spell that repairs the engine, stabilizing the plane's flight. Hours later, Zatanna returns home and tries to get some sleep when someone rings the doorbell.

Upset, Zatanna opens the door and the visitor is revealed to be a boy similar to Klarion the Witch Boy. Zatanna asks about the boy's identity, and the boy introduces himself as Uriah, an inhabitant of Limbo Town, the same dimension Klarion comes from. Zatanna recognizes Uriah from an incident in Gotham City; apparently, he tried to create an animal demon-beast, but Robin and Klarion stopped him. Uriah confirms this, but claims he is trying to turn his life around.

When Zatanna asks why is he doing in her house, Uriah replies that he wants to become her apprentice. Zatanna disagrees with the idea of having Uriah as an apprentice, and tries to get him to leave. However, Uriah has disappeared. Angry, Zatanna puts her costume on and chases after Uriah, who wants to find the library.

After visiting some rooms, and running afoul of Hassan the Mummy, Uriah finally finds the library. When Zatanna reaches the library, Uriah has found the Book of Maps, a book that contains coordinates to every known dimension and passage between them. Zatanna tries to recover the book, but Uriah disappears through a portal, and Zatanna goes after him.

Zatanna chases Uriah across several dimensions until she teleports both of them to the dimension of gargantuans. Recovering the book, Zatanna knocks Uriah out and leaves him on Limbo Town. She returns to her dimension and finally gets some sleep.
