Synopsis for "Night on Devil Mountain"
After a night of fighting Fuseli and an afternoon of having lunch with Dale Colton, Zatanna barely manages to arrive to the theater before her show begins. As she enters the backstage, she is attacked by effigies of her friends. After a short battle, Zatanna defeats them, but not before getting some info on where Brother Night took her friends: Mount Diablo.
At Mount Diablo, Brother Night prepares to sacrifice Zatanna's crew in a ritual, but suddenly, Zatanna appears. Zatanna quickly defeats Brother Night's henchmen, and traps Brother Night in a wall of rocks. Rescuing her people, Zatanna tells them to go back to the show while she deals with Brother Night. She also dresses Mikey like herself so that no one notices her absence.
Brother Night frees himself from the rocks and resumes the battle, summoning the spirit of Zatanna's father. He explains that he watched the conflict in Hell and when Zatanna tried to destroy John's soul to spare him from more pain and agony, he reached out and saved his spirit at the last minute. Now, he possess complete control over John.
Zatanna pulls Fuseli out of her hat and promises to free him in exchange of him releasing her father from Brother Night's control. He agrees and enters John's mind, awakening him. Zatanna and John are reunited and Brother Night is incapacitated. Zatanna agrees to release Fuseli on the condition that he never haunts her dreams again. John also bids farewell to his daughter, but promises to be at her side when she needs him.
Brother Night tries to escape but Zatanna stops him and performs a spell that forces Brother Night to renounces his power and the lords of Hell, releasing the souls of everyone he has killed.
Zatanna hands the powerless Eldon Peck to the police and Dale closes the Brother Night case. Although Peck is physically immobile, his soul is perpetually tortured in Hell for breaking his bargain.
