Quote1 Don't overlook the obvious. Who inspired a legion of followers? Who does everyone REALLY want to be? The Joker. Who do we really wish to be when we kill our boss... spouse... neighbor... or that evil LIBRARIAN who hits us with an overdue fine? Why, The Joker of course. So, he MUST live again. People think they should be Batman; doing the right thing and suffering for it... when it's the Joker who TRULY inhabits our souls. Quote2

Synopsis for "The Return, Part One"

Back as Batman after being controlled by Spellbinder, Terry must face the threat of the Jokerz, leaded by Terminal. Out of shape and after just regaining his cape, Terry struggles to survive the assault of the gang in their territory of Jokerz Town. After barely escaping with the win against a Venom-enhanced thug, Batman has to retreat in the Batcave and plan his next move to rescue Dana, held prisoner by Terminal himself. Also, Terry does not know that his enemy has the intention of resurrecting the original Joker to make Gotham the victim of a cruel joke. In the Batcave, Terry finds his brother Matt who, to help him, broke protocol and introduced to their mutual friend Max the Batcave. After talking about not following the teaching of his mentor, the original Batman, Bruce Wayne, Terry decides to step the game up and change perspective: dressing like a member of the Jokerz, he will go undercover trying another approach at resolving the Jokerz Town situation.
